The Cricket Club.
The Cricket Club is our 'Out of School Club' and is situated on the Recreation Ground in Little Berkhamsted.
We offer a school collection service from the local Parish Schools and Pre-Schools.
The Clubs opening hours are term time only;
12:00 to 15:00 for children age 3 and 4yrs.
15:30 to 18:00 for children age 5 to 10 yrs
Daily Routine 12:00 - Lunch 12:30 - Child led play 13:00 - Adult led Activity.
Various craft activities are supplied, please see daily focus board for more information.
14:00 - Snack 14:30 - Outside Play, either on the field or in the park.
15:00 - 3yr old home time.
15:30 - Children age 4 to 10yrs return from school are offered some fruit and a drink.
15:45 - Outside sports and games include Cricket, Football, Golf. Bench ball, Bulldog (non contact) and many others.
16:30 - a hot meal is served, made daily with fresh and healthy ingredients (the menu is displayed on the notice board)
17:00 - Tidy up time. Homework for those that have it and outside play.
There are areas of development that the government expect children to be supported in.
These prime areas include; Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development Communication and Language Development, Specific areas Include: Maths, Creative Learning, Expressive Art and Design, Understanding of the World and Literacy.
At Apple Daycare we believe, during the holiday season, the most important thing for young people is: Personal Social, Emotional Development and Physical Development.
Although we incorporate all of the other areas of learning. We tailor our activities for holiday club to life outside. Building camps, orienteering, outside games and sports, visits to local parks and woodland walks, Fishing, paper boat racing and many more.
We make sure that all activities are tailored to be age and stage appropriate.
